I'm Ray, a professional photographer based in Brighton. Strictly speaking it's the city of Brighton and Hove, actually!
As a photographer I'm lucky to be based in Brighton, it's a wonderful city for photography. Brighton is a hugely popular seaside resort that attracts tourists from all over the world.
Most of my work locally involves street photography in Brighton. But the great thing about Sussex is the endless opportunities for photographers, no matter what photographic genres interest you.
I mostly feature my personal projects and useful information here. It's a hub for photography locally in Sussex. That said, if you want to work with me professionally, please contact me.
Brighton and Hove Camera Club
If you're a local photographer I highly recommend joining Brighton and Hove Camera Club. It's one of the oldest and largest camera clubs in the UK. You can join the club here, trial memberships are available too.

This is Dead Shops in Brighton. It’s a Photo Documentary about Covid-19 with an abstract and slightly surreal presentation style. Deliberately so.
Tide Mills is an abandoned village and mill situated between Seaford and Newhaven in East Sussex. It’s a fascinating place for photographers.
A tour to the Rampion Wind Farm on a boat trip from Brighton Marina is highly recommended. I think it’s one of the best tours in Sussex for photography.
The Brighton and Hove Camera Club Seafront Photography Exhibition for 2020-21 is on display on the Beach. The theme is “Our City”
