I was finally able to return to the streets of Brighton for photography in April 2021. Once again the whole of the UK went into Covid-19 lockdown from January to March and I stayed at home on the outskirts of Brighton for the duration.
Street Photography Galleries
Galleries featuring my street photography work in the UK and internationally. Plus relevant tips for street photographers everywhere.
UK Street Photographer
I'm lucky to be based in Brighton. It's a wonderful city. In fact, it's probably one of the best cities in the UK for street photography. If you're interested in Brighton you see my work as a Brighton street photographer here.
I also produce work in London and elsewhere in the UK when the opportunity arises. London is only an hour away from home. It's great to have so many opportunities on my doorstep.
The Decisive Moment
I'm always on the look out for the "Decisive Moment" as defined by Henri Cartier-Bresson in his famous book of the same name.
However, my photographic style is also about creating dynamic street photography using a variety of techniques. For example, by using long exposure motion blur. You can see more relevant tips and tutorials here.
International Street Photographer
I also enjoy international travel. However, my work as a street photographer is more reportage and documentary oriented when I'm travelling. In other words, it's a different style to my work in the UK. Telling a story becomes more important than creating dynamic images when I'm overseas. That's because different cultures fascinate me. I enjoy telling the story of everyday life in different parts of the world through my images. For example: Hanoi - Cambodia - Varanasi
Alternatively, you can see more of my photography here, featuring a wider range of photographic genres and locations.

October 2020 was a busy month for me and I didn’t get out for as many photography walks in Brighton as I’d like to. That said, I did get some of my favourite street images of the year in October.
My second encounter with Fukushima Dolphin busking in Brighton happened by chance. I stumbled across the band again in November.
I first encountered the fantastic band Fukushima Dolphin in Brighton in September. At first I didn’t know who these guys were.
September 2020 saw me back out on the Brighton streets with my camera. Well, one day in September to be precise. In fact, this post is unusual in two ways.
Back in August I went to Eastbourne in East Sussex for a street photography session. I stopped off at nearby Seaford Beach too.
Brighton Beach and Seafront is one of my street photography projects for the summer of 2020. Come to think of it, it’s become an annual project!
This is a photo documentary telling the story about life in rural Cambodia. It’s quite different from much of my travel photography and street photography which generally features city life.
